| BGF (Mirror in Fudan University) |
BGF (BGI Gene Finder), developed by the Gene Finding Team at BGI, is a program for gene identification in eukaryotic genomic DNA sequences. It is based on Dynamic Programming and HSMM (Hidden Semi-Markov Model) algorithm. The data set has been well trained with a special emphasis on chicken genome. |
| SeqGetter |
SeqGetter (Sequence Getter) is a self-developed sequence search tool for extracting sequences or variations residing within genomic domains from the database. The target sequence regions can be defined by chromosomal positions or genes/cDNAs. The default output format is FASTA. |

| BLAST |
Blast (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool) is a set of similarity search programs designed to explore all of the available sequence databases regardless of whether the query is protein or DNA. It is more than a tool to view sequences aligned with each other or to calculate percent homology, but a program to locate regions of sequence similarity with a view to comparing structure and function. Our BLAST server has a special dataset for the chicken genome and its sequence variations. |
Other self-developed softwares like online submission tool for mutual data interrogation will be available soon. |
